Purpose: Advance the geological sciences and the profession of geology.
This is a professional organization that has a chapter at Georgia State. As an organization we try to give geology students a view of what they will be doing in the industry of geology. Some of the events we hist are field trips around Atlanta to see professional geologists at work. Some of the trips include well drilling, soil sampling, and environmental remediation. We host a career fair at the end of the spring semester for students who will be graduating and will need jobs.
