The Future

"As the plight of the woman and minorities change entering the 21st century, so will we change and grow as we cater towards their needs. However, we will never compromise the principles set forth by our Founding Mothers. Their legacy continues on as we struggle for equality on every level. Every new sister has something different to contribute to Lambda Theta Alpha and something different to take with her on her life-long journey."
Delta Beta Chapter at GSU continuosly participates in multiple community service and outreach programs. A few of our annual programs are Locks of Love (collecting hair to donate to charity), T.A.P.E. (Through A Panther's Eye, a program to showcase multiculturalism at GSU) and Voter Awareness Week.
We are also a Five Star Chapter, which is an evaluation program where chapters are scored based on their activism and campus involvement. Five Star is the highest and most prestigious rating and we receive 5 Stars every year.
Delta Beta Chapter was founded on April 10, 2005 at Georgia State University in conjunction with Gamma Omega Chapter (Georgia Tech) and Delta Alpha Chapter (University of Georgia).
In the Fall of 2006, Priscilla Nunez became our first newest member of the chapter as Line 1.
In the Spring of 2007, Rosa Barrientos and Amelia West became Line 2 of the Delta Beta Chapter.
Line 3 of Spring 2008 was Isela Rodriguez, Monica Garcia, Claudia Trillo and Diana Lleras.
Line 4 of Fall 2008 six ladies joined the sisterhood: Alexis Richbourg, Claudia Rivera, Alexandra Smalls, Rebekah Puleo, Grace Martinez, and Mae Seales.
