CPS-PRIDE
Welcome to the Georgia State University Campus Chapter AGLBTIC (Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling). We are CPS-PRIDE.
CPS-PRIDE is an organization that provides several functions: to find community, common ground, support, and resources for our work with others. Our mission is to raise awareness and knowledge of sexual identity and gender identity issues in mental health through advocacy, research, and discourse.
Our organization was conceptualized and founded during the summer of 2004 and became a recognized student organization at Georgia State University in the Spring of 2005. We are housed in the Department of Counseling & Psychological Services, in the College of Education.
Our Membership is open to anyone interested in developing their personal and professional knowledge, awareness and competence in issues related to sexual identity, gender identity and sexual orientation.
